Needing place to call home for me and my pets (Austin)

Due to job transfer I’m moving from CT to Texas.
I start my new position first week of January.
Needing to find place within.
Few months or sooner.
I’ll be working full time as a Sr.
Maintenance Supervisor for a Real estate company that manages college student living in downtown Austin area.
I’m not picky on place.
Roof, electric, place for my pets and place I can call home.
Looking for long term rentals.
I’ll need to get settled in my new job and save to move possible February.
Or sooner if property can let me move in with maybe free work around the place.
With targeting feb to start paying 1000-1100 rent.
I have clean rental Reference.
No felonies or criminal record.
Very responsible and reliable - not a party type.
Usually work and home and make be good motorcycle ride to tour Texas and all that Austin and surrounding areas can provide.
I’ll be living alone and my pets.
If there anyone that can help , advise or suggest? Really would appreciate it.
I know a scam from a mile away.
So if I can’t meet the landlord or eventually view the property and i don’t have to be sending money overseas then we got a deal.
