What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Real Estate Development Manager with well-rounded expertise to play a key role in the company's continued growth.
You will be responsible for managing acquisition development projects for Sales, Service, Delivery, Collision, and Warehousing sites across the United States.
You will also collaborate cross functionally with internal teams including Legal, Finance, Design, Construction and external partners including sellers, brokers, engineers, and land use attorneys.
What You’ll Do
Lead deal engagement, negotiation and closing of real estate sites, both Letter of Intent and Purchase and Sale Agreement
Manage the entitlement, due diligence, and construction processes to ensure all risks are identified and quantified so the project is delivered on time
Responsible for executing and managing full development budgets for projects ranging from $15M-25M in total
Work cross-functionally to develop project schedule and development budget.
Track hard and soft project costs
Lead development pro-forma evaluations on land values, site development cost, construction cost, or other related project expenses
Partner with the local jurisdiction and participate in any local meetings and hearings relating to these projects
Build and lead teams of vendors, consultants, and contractors to support acquisition, entitlements, and delivery
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area of study (Business, Real Estate, Engineering), or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of real estate experience with focus on transactions and entitlements
Understanding of real estate principles, concepts and of legal terms specific to Real Estate
Experience with municipal planning and zoning procedures required
Ability to pivot based on shifting priorities
Sensitive to confidential or proprietary information
