Made for Fred Oster of Vintage Instruments by the Martin custom shop in the early 2000's.
This one was made in 2002.
Pre-War/Authentic type specs and stylings.
Features include Adirondack Spruce top, Indian rosewood binding, bar frets, 12 fret neck, mahogany back, sides and neck, ebony fret board and bridge, 5/16" scalloped bracing, modified V neck, stamp style logo on the back of the headstock, truss rod.
Nut width it 1.
81", just a hair over 1 3/4", and 2 5/16" string spacing at the bridge, with Waverly tuners.
K & K piezo pickup professionally installed at bridge plate.
Please note, major repair has been done to the side at the end pin.
A hairline crack at the end pin spread about 15" has been repaired and stabilized with additional bracing inside the guitar.
No top or back cracks to speak of.
The guitar has been played plenty over its life and has plenty of little dings, swirls, and whisker finish cracks.
A previous owner amateurishly speed necked the guitar down to about the seventh fret.
As you can see, it doesn't look great, but feels great in the hand.
As expected with these 12 fret dreadnaughts the guitar sounds huge and the top is nicely opened up after over two decades of playing.
