Fender ST-57 MIJ 1980's - $800 (South Austin)

This strat is an "E" serial number ST-57 stratocaster, however the original neck was destroyed in shipping so it has a replacement neck with rosewood fretboard instead what would have originallly been maple.
The replacement neck is an old stock Allparts neck that was also made in Japan.
It looks and feels appropriate.
Fortunately the rest of the guitar was unharmed and in really good shape.
The original olympic white finish has aged to sort of a roasted marshmallow color.
The original one ply pickguard was a bit warped so a new one has been made out of Bakelite.
The rest of the guitar electronics and hardware are as they came from the factory.
The guitar was recently setup with 9-42 strings and had the frets Pleked and a new bone nut made.
There's lots of great strats out there and this is one of them! Comes with a worn in hardcase.
