5' Escape Captiva is a great boat for beginners and just fun sailing for one or two adults.
Fast, light, and stable.
It can heel but rarely capsizes and easily rightable if it does.
This boat has been in a garage for most of the past dozen years.
It is made of rotomolded polyethylene.
The sail is very good but I replaced the closure strap for furled storage.
Minimum draft is .
3 feet, so takes well to shallow water, too.
Comes with an old but serviceable trailer with mast stand.
The boat is in good shape.
Known issues: "Polyethylene welded" repair to small crack near starboard cupholder at the stern.
Missing the transom plug.
Aftermarket replacement plugs are available online or use a champagne cork.
