Responsibilities:
Sr.
Program Manager - System & Silicon Validation
THE ROLE:
Technical leader responsible for System and Silicon Validation of AMD EPYC Server products.
The successful candidate will work as part of the post-silicon validation group; planning and leading all aspects of server product validation to meet POR commit and schedule.
The successful candidate must be able to work with a wide variety of teams including cross validation teams, architecture, design, verification, production and program management to ensure feature and HW/FW/SW coverage is achieved within the project milestones.
Candidate will be immersed in challenging work developing & executing strategy for validating complex features on AMD's next generation products ensuring progress while maintaining a good work culture and team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform logistical estimations supporting platform validation requirements
Plan and execute to the validation strategy to meet committed coverage metrics aligned to POR and schedule for program milestones
Direct the development and execution of validation test plans for SoC- and system-level features across AMD Server products
Direct the development of post-silicon validation infrastructure (software, hardware, automation environment, tools, and lab setup) for efficient validation & execution
Provide direction and drive focus into prioritization of validation activities
Work with cross-functional teams to improve post-silicon validation test strategy, methodology, and process
Communicate regular status updates to program leadership and provide risk recovery when needed
Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver the best SoC quality for each server product
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture
Experience developing validation methodologies and supporting infrastructure
Test plan and test development experience
Experience in leading Silicon validation readiness & bring-up for internal teams
Able to execute and drive success of programs with multiple projects on the go
Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows), scripting, validation tools & lab equipment
Must be a self-starting team player who can work with minimal guidance
Must be organized and multitask well
Forward thinker that drives improvement to development process, code architecture and fosters a spirit of innovation and continuous improvement
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
10+ years of industry experience processor validation and/or debug.
7+ years of technical leadership experience at program level & guidance to engineers
5+ years of End-To-End product validation experience on Client or Server products
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics / Computer Science related
