Essential Functions
Must properly handle chemicals and cleaning compounds using personal protective equipment and following proper safety guidelines.
Ensures that all work areas are maintained keeping them clean and safe in accordance with sanitary, safety, and infection control procedures.
Performs daily scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing walls and equipment as instructed by supervisor.
Safely utilizes equipment and reports any equipment needing service or repair immediately.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with facility absence policies.
Uses tactful, appropriate communication in sensitive and emotional situations.
Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests.
Uses appropriate workplace behavior and always adheres to the dress code.
Required to attend department and facility in-service training as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Responsible for cleaning all resident rooms and all common areas including dining rooms, lobby areas, day rooms, and hallways.
Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to lift 50 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
