*Summary:* Barista/Bartender/Server & Event Staff responsibilities include providing guests exceptional service from start to finish during their stay and while visiting Simona s, the Parlor, or during any on-site event.
Educating guests on our selections and the drink menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, and up-selling special items.
To be successful in this role, you need to have hospitality experience, guest service awareness, responsible alcohol training & experience on mixed beverages and knowledge of brewing and other beverage equipment operations.
F&B positions vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekend availability.
Cocktail & Floor Serving, Bartending and Event Execution is expected.
Applicants do not need a strong background in all of the listed roles, but hospitality knowledge, TABC & Food Handler training & Certifications are a must prior to hiring.
Compensation includes hourly wages and tips.
*Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Opening, setting up, daily cleaning & stocking and operational maintenance of Simona s, the Parlor, Patio & Lawn, and the Pool Area.
* Welcoming customers, giving customers drink menus, informing them about specials or new items, and answering their questions regarding ingredients and providing tableside and Bar service.
* Preparing beverages following recipes and TABC guidelines.
* Checking any & all guests identification following TABC requirements to ensure anyone ordering alcoholic items is of the legal age to purchase and consume.
* Handling cash, debit, credit card and charge to room transactions.
Ensuring charges are accurate and signed for by guests and returning correct change and a copy of their charges to patrons.
* Preparing & Serving Simona s beverages and prepared food, like pastries.
* Receiving and processing payments (Toast POS).
* Keeping the bar area clean and the front area tidy (from daily/weekly checklists).
* Maintaining stock of cups, lids, straws, etc.
* Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
* Keeping amenities fridge stocked and full.
* Complying with health and safety regulations.
* Communicating customer feedback to managers and coworkers.
* Working as part of a fun, engaging team.
* Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
* Other duties assigned as-needed.
*Experience/Skills:*
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* A minimum of 6 months to one year of Bartending experience is required.
* A minimum of 6 months to one year of customer service experience is required.
* Barista experience preferred but not required.
A willingness to learn is a plus.
* Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
* Knowledge of sanitation regulations.
* Flexibility to work various shifts including holidays and weekends.
* Able to walk, bend, and stand for long periods of time, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
* Ability to engage with customers and understand their preferences.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
* Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
* Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
* Current TABC and Food Handlers certification required.
