Bakery Assistant/Customer Service

We are a fast growing local company that recently picked up a large contract with HEB and also expanding to multiple retail locations.
We are looking for the right people who want to grow with us.
*Responsibilities* ● Memorize recipes and use proper techniques in mixing, pouring, and storing batters and frostings.
● Prep and mix all cookie batters, frostings, and frozen yogurt flavors.
● Design and decorate cookies and cookie cakes according to customers' specifications.
● Decorate regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
● Assist baking staff with the production of standard bakery items.
Producing different kinds of icing, frosting, and other decor based on cookie or cookie cake type and customer preferences.
● Prepare and pack cookies for online orders.
● Assist with dishwashing, baking, and cooling as needed.
● Demonstrate teamwork.
● Maintain a consistent pace throughout your shift to ensure the completion of duties on time.
● Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment behind the counter and in the kitchen area where applicable.
● Assist with all cleaning duties.
● Report to work as scheduled and fulfill requirements for the duration of shift.
*Requirements* ● Culinary or pastry certification preferred, or at least 1 year of experience working in a pastry kitchen.
● Food Handlers Certificate (or must be willing to obtain) ● Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
● Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions from management.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
● Can work well under pressure and maintain a consistent pace through the shift.
● Can lift at least 50 pounds while carrying cookie trays and bulk purchases.
● Ability to be on your feet for hours at a time.
● Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 60% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.
00 - $18.
