We are looking for an enthusiastic Supervisor of Food and Nutrition Services to help us reach our goals.
Unlock your potential! Job Summary and Qualifications Performs supervision of the employees and coordinates necessary actions to improve quality and efficiency of café operation.
Monitors compliance of employees with all sanitation standards from state, city, and federal groups.
Performs functions associated with cash handling.
Assists with meal service to patients and customers.
Provides good customer service and performs service recovery as needed.
Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
Complies with hospital/departmental policies and procedures, i.
e.
, attendance, mandatory education, safety, infection control, etc.
Direct employees in completing work schedules and tasks required/assigned.
Assists with layout and presentation of foods prior service.
Assists with any restocking of any disposable food items and dishware/utensils as needed.
Assists with notification of cooks and production staff of production needs.
Assists with supervision of production staff during setup and service.
Insures kitchen meets all city, state, and federal food service sanitation standards.
Follows temperature recommendations for service, storage, and preparation.
Follows department HACCP policies.
Follows cleaning and sanitation guidelines.
Directs staff to complete assigned cleaning tasks regularly.
Completes any documentation as needed for storage and service.
Provides the highest standard for customer service during the meal service.
Maintains atmosphere of optimum customer service at all times with regular rounding on patient floors.
Addresses patient complaints in a timely manner.
Assists in service of all customers.
Greets all customers cheerfully and respectfully following all safety measures.
Observes proper portion control techniques.
Assists with breakdown of area and preps for next day service.
Assists with any reconciliation of records as needed.
Signs off on forms.
Completes all duties as required by department.
Completes staff orientation.
Documents all necessary forms required.
Completes department evaluations and disciplines.
Attends management meetings as required.
Follows department training guide with employees.
Participates in departmental training for all employees.
Spends approximately 50% of time in hands on supervision of staff.
Completes any miscellaneous duties as assigned.
