Senior Tax Analyst - Remote or Hybrid (Houston, TX)

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will assist with researching and preparing federal and state tax credits and incentives; preparing CAMT calculations; preparing and reviewing federal income tax returns; preparing and reviewing state income and franchise tax returns; gathering information and responding to tax audits and notices; and preparing and reviewing tax provision.
As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Researching and documenting support for claiming federal and state income tax credits and incentives
Modelling impact of tax credits and incentives
Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual ASC 740 reporting
Executing and documenting related SOX tax controls and processes
Preparing annual CAMT calculation
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of tax returns and work papers prepared
Providing federal and state tax notice responses as required
Reviewing tax payments, including estimated tax and extension calculations
Modelling quarterly forecasts and tax projections
Researching, analysing and summarising relevant tax topics and calculations
Assisting with all tax operational matters and identifying any compliance issues
Contributing to projects as a team member or leading small projects

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Have a minimum of 5 years of work experience with U.
S.
federal and state income taxes
Have experience working for a large multinational tax department or multinational public accounting firm
Demonstrate experience in tax compliance, tax provision, and tax notice resolution
Have extensive computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
Have experience with OneSource Tax Provision and/or Income Tax
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree and/or CPA credential
Experience using ERP systems (Oracle, SAP and HFM)
Experience using Alteryx and/or Power BI
Experience using CorpTax
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
