The Corporate Accountant II is entrusted with the responsibility of supporting corporate accounting and financial reporting functions.
This role involves comprehensive tasks such as assisting in the management of corporate cash, preparing payroll entries and monthly financial close tasks, supporting annual financial audit processes, and assisting in the preparation of various federal, state and property tax returns.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* To excel in this role, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
* Perform corporate treasury management functions including:Perform administrative functions for corporate bank accounts.
Prepare cash flow statement & monitor cash balances daily.
Support Corporate Accounting Director in other treasury management activities.
* Prepare the month-end financial close process including:Prepare monthly payroll entries and reconcile payroll bank account.
Analyze general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Perform monthly fixed asset close and maintain corresponding schedules.
* Coordinate, organize and track various state & federal income and non-income tax returns.
* Support external accounting firm in fulfilling various tax-reporting requirements.
* Prepare property tax returns.
* Facilitate & support external financial audit processes.
* Actively participate in special projects.
* Provide support and backup for accounting department personnel as needed.
* Demonstrate commitment to a culture of professionalism, accountability, customer/client focus, and teamwork.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: *To succeed in this role, individual should possess the following skills and abilities:
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Aptitude for learning and understanding various accounting standards and reporting systems.
* Excellent communication, organization, and analysis skills.
* Good project management with the ability to meet set deadlines.
* Knowledge of NetSuite Accounting System is a plus but is not required.
* Willingness and ability to work overtime if required.

*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:*
* Bachelor’s degree is required, with a major in accounting preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years general accounting work experience required, with experience in a high-paced environment preferred.
* CPA candidate preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
