Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for oversight of all accounts payable processes.
The AP Manager leads a team of supervisors and front-line staff to ensure that all vendor invoices are paid timely/accurately, and all financial controls are followed.
This position reports to the Director of Shared Services and is part of the Shared Services Leadership Team, working to achieve a sustainable continuous improvement culture at every level of the organization.
The Accounts Payable Manager will also work closely with key leaders in the Business Units, Finance, and Accounting, ensuring that cross-functional processes are executed to expectations.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Accountable for and models a culture of excellence for the department
Responsible for leading a large team supporting 40 distribution centers across the United States
Ensures adherence to financial controls and provides leadership for controlled self-assessments (CSAs) conducted by internal audit
Works with Credit and Compliance Departments to resolve problems and the Accounting team on periodic reconciliation analysis and reporting
Identifies, establishes, and tracks best practices, key performance metrics, SOP's, and work drivers to meet or exceed goals and motivates team to produce quality materials within tight timeframes while simultaneously managing multiple projects
Guides strategy for the use of electronic systems/tools to improve processes, mine/extract data, and report results
Participates in projects related to Redundancy Elimination, New Technology Integration, and Cost Optimization
Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with 6+ years of related experience including 3+ years of supervisory experience; OR High School Diploma and 9+ years of related experience including 6+ years of supervisory experience
Prior experience having accountability for results that impact people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area
Financial acumen and analysis skills (Excel)
Ability to travel occasionally
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree or CPA license
Prior leadership experience in large format organization (30+ reports)
Beverage Distribution or related industry experience
High-level knowledge of Shared Services Models and Business Process Improvement (BPI) Techniques
Knowledge of Alteryx, PowerBI, or other data and analytics tools
